Scheduling Process
SCHEDULING
Routine appointments are scheduled within 24 hours unless there is a special circumstance.
Expensive studies such as MRI, CT, CT-myelograms, arthrograms and nuclear medicine may be scheduled by MRN.
Patients screened for potential problems such as claustrophobia, cardiac pacemakers or magnetic metal in the head or eye for MRI.
MRN may also at the payors request, evaluate whether the diagnosis warrants a radiology study and whether the proper radiology study is being ordered for the presenting diagnosis.
Proprietary mapping software for scheduling will locate the closest quality facility to the patient's home or work that can provide the referred service(s).

APPOINTMENT NOTIFICATION
Appointment letters are faxed or e-mailed to the referring physician, medical management nurse and/or adjuster.
The day following the scheduled appointment, the facility is contacted to establish patient compliance with the visit.
No-shows are rescheduled and appointment letters re-sent.
